Deposit: Fill out the registration form indicating the trip(s) you wish to join. Send the completed form with a non-refundable deposit of $500 per trip. Payment in full must be received 12 weeks before departure. The price is per person sharing a twin-bedded or double room. We can usually match you with a roommate upon request, when available.
Cancellation: When a booking is cancelled by a client, the client will be liable for the following charges: Cancellation more than 60 days before departure will result in loss of deposit. Cancellation between 60 days and the day of departure will result in loss of monies which cannot be recovered from the suppliers. We can provide recommended trip cancellation and/or baggage insurance which would protect you from unforeseen emergencies.
Prices: Our package prices reflect our costs and currency exchange rate as of September 1, 2007. These prices are based on a minimum of 10 participants and Southern Treks reserves the right to make price adjustments for cost increases or currency fluctuations which are beyond our control. Should a trip have to be cancelled due to lack of participation, you will be notified at least 70 days before the scheduled departure and all monies will be returned.
Health: We ask that your appraise your own physical capabilities and be prepared to do the level of walks indicated by the grading of the trek. These trips are offered to non-smokers only.
U.S. Passport: All U.S. citizens must have a valid passport with an expiration date of at least three months after the return date of the tour. Australia clients will also need a visa which can be gotten through our office.
Responsibility: Southern Treks, Inc. acts only in the capacity of agents in the sale of transportation, sightseeing and services. As acting agents, they cannot be held responsible for personal injury, property damage, bankruptcy or any other loss, accident, delay, inconvenience or irregularity caused by other companies or persons or for conditions beyond its control, direct or otherwise. Upon booking of tour, each participant will be required to read and to sign a liability waiver form. No reservations will be accepted until this is signed.
