Southern Treks Tours Include
- Small Groups - 16 maximum.

Trips Do Not Include:
- Air fare.
- Individual trip cancellation insurance.
- Personal items, including expense of a Visa / Passport, laundry, etc.
- Meals not mentioned as being included on day-to-day itinerary.
- Cost of transport to beginning of tour if one does not use our group transport from airport.
Grading of Walks
It is so important that the trip you go on corresponds with your particular level of fitness. All of Southern Treks tours are graded so that you can select the one thats right for you. They are graded Easy, Easy/Moderate, Moderate and Moderate/Strenuous.
Easy: Practically anyone in good health who has a basic level of fitness could do this level. It could be up to eight miles a day with few hills. Light boots are preferable but stout walking shoes are adequate. This would involve about four hours of walking each day.
Easy/Moderate: Most days of this walk would be Easy, but because of the hills, it has a two-figure rating. Most people who are used to a regular aerobic exercise would have no problem with this grade. The mileage could go up to 10 miles per day with a few hills and would involve about six-plus hours of walking each day. Strong walking boots with good ankle support are required.
Moderate: Most days of this level of walking would have mileage of at least 10 miles and would have significant hills to walk. One should have previously done a walking tour or be very fit to fully enjoy a walk at this level. Most days will involve about six-plus hours of walking. Strong walking boots are required.
Moderate/Strenuous: This would be a very challenging walk and would average about 14 miles a day with some days of high elevations. This would be our most challenging trip and one must be very fit. Strong walking boots are required.
